There are two accreditation routes open to practitioners on the programme:
Trinity Guildhall LTCL in Music Practice: Teaching
This diploma has been designed with the CPD Programme in mind and practitioners will find that there are clear links between the content of the programme and the diploma requirements. Before applying, you need to read the relevant pages on the syllabus. you will then find that many of the activities completed on the programme can be used to meet the diploma criteria. Open University Continuing Professional Development in Practice (U810) courseThis new Open University course provides a means in which practitioners who have completed the KS2 Music CPD programme can gain accreditation for their work and use it towards gaining a Masters qualification.The essential differences between these accreditation routes are outlined below:
LTCL in Music Practice: Teaching
Continuing Professional Development in Practice
Stand-alone qualification
Distance learning , taught course with tutorial support leading to a qualification
Can be undertaken whilst you are on the CPD programme or once you have completed it.
Can only be taken after you have completed the CPD programme
NQF Level 6 qualification (carrying points towards OU first degree)
Carries points towards MA
Content involves reflecting on your approaches to teaching
Content involves reflecting on the CPD you have received
Music specific
Encompassing any CPD
