Module summary Understanding the way in which children develop musically is critical to planning appropriate musical experiences for them. This module addresses the following questions: · When planning my teaching, am I able to draw on an understanding of how children develop musically in order to plan appropriate musical experiences for them? · Do I know what to expect from children at different stages of their musical development? · Am I aware of the factors that can impact on children’s musical development and am able to take account of these in my teaching? To demonstrate engagement with this module the minimum you should record in your portfolio is your response to the two Key Tasks (guide: 400 words each).
