Module Summary Children engage with, learn and develop musically in many contexts in addition to the formal one of school curriculum music lessons. In this module you will develop your understanding of: the difference between ''formal'', ''informal'' and ''non-formal'' contexts for musical learning the approaches to supporting children''s music-making adopted by teachers and leaders in contexts other than your own how you can draw on these approaches in supporting the musical learning of your pupils Study Guide (Click to download the PDF - you must be logged in) This module has a Study Guide only. There is no associated workshop. To demonstrate engagement with this module the minimum you should record in your portfolio is your response to the two Key Tasks (guide: 400 words each). The additional activity is there to support your learning but is not compulsory. If you have not read the Programme Handbook you should do so now.
