| Module Summary
In this module we consider the links between assessing children''s learning, reflecting upon what that assessment tells us about children''s learning needs and, in this context evaluating the effectiveness of our own teaching. This module addresses the following questions:
Do I understand the principles for assessment practice?
Am I using assessment formatively: ''Assessment for Learning''?
Do I have processes in place for gathering and recording assessment evidence?
Do I assess musically?

To demonstrate engagement with this module the minimum you should record in your portfolio is your response to the two key tasks (guide: 400 words each). The additional activity is there to support your learning but is not compulsory.
